Why do we use gm/sec as a flow rate?  This is because the Motor Company chose the unit gm/sec to rate their injectors.
How to covert lb/hr to gm/sec.  First you have to determine the pressure that was utilized to determine the flow rate of the injector (very important).
Note: The OE M8 fuel system utilizes 58psi.  The DTT Series 22 fuel injector flow rates are measured at 58psi.  Many fuel injector flow rates are performed at 43.5psi.
If the pressures are the same for the two injectors (both measured at 58psi) , the following formula is used to convert from lb/hr to gm/sec.    gm/sec = (lb/hr) * 0.126
If you use 0.126 as a constant the result is approximate, additional digits provide more accuracy 0.12599788 is the actual value.
How do we come up with the constant 0.126?  By using the formula (453.59237 g_per_lb) / (3600 s_per_hr) =  0.12599788.  453.59237  is the grams in one pound an 3600 is the seconds in one hour.
Remember that the pressure is what typically determines the flow rates (43.5psi vs 58psi) first calculate the new flow rate and then convert to gm/sec.
To convert the new injector flow rate for the new pressure use the formula:  New Flow (lb/hr) = Rated Flow (lb/hr) * sqrt(Actual Pressure / Rated Pressure).
For example:
Rated Flow (lb/hr) = 42
Rated Pressure = 43.5
Actual Pressure = 58
New Flow (lb/hr) = 42 * sqrt(58 / 43.5)
= 42 * sqrt(1.3333333)
= 42 * 1.15470054
= 48.497421 lb/hr @ 58psi
New Flow (gm/sec) = 48.497421 * 0.12599788
= 6.101 gm/sec @ 58psi
 
• To convert from cc/min to gm/sec, the conversion is similar, use these formulas.
New Flow (cc/min) = Rated Flow (cc/min) * sqrt(Actual Pressure / Rated Pressure) and g/s = (cc_per_min × fuel_density_g_per_cc) / 60
For example
Rated Flow (cc/min) = 500
Rated Pressure = 43.5
Actual Pressure = 58
New Flow (cc/min) = 500 × sqrt(58 / 43.5)
= 500 × 1.15470054
= 577.35 cc/min @ 58psi
g/s = (cc_per_min × fuel_density_g_per_cc) / 60
g/s = (577.35 × 0.745) / 60
g/s = 429.72 / 60
g/s = 7.162 g/s
note: cc_per_min = inj flow rate cubic centimeters per min (cc/min), fuel_density_g_per_cc = fuel density in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cc) for gasoline this is typically 0.745 g/cc @ 15 C and 60 = number of seconds in a minute used to convert from gm/min to gm/sec.
